Rocko had been given up not once, but twice. He had been returned to Maricopa Animal County Animal Care & Control a second time after it was discovered that he had a terminal illness. Initially he was thought to have a skin condition related to allergies. After his condition worsened, it was discovered that he was suffering from lymphosarcoma. He was dying.
Rocko is back in the care of Maricopa volunteers, but they aren’t the only ones rooting for him.
When firefighters caught wind of Rocko’s bucket list, they knew that had to help the pup live his last days to the fullest.
Thanks to them, he has crossed another item off of his bucket list- to hitch a ride on the fire engine.
The MCACC volunteers apparently have a whole list of fun things planned for the Labrador mix. We can’t wait to see what’s next for this special pup.
